It's so easy to become sucked into the hype and lies perpetrated by the online gurus. They are only out for one thing, to get into your wallet, purse, or bank account. There is no vested interest in you or your dreams and aspirations to become financially free. The percentage of people who fall for all the hype is at about 98%. First and foremost you must keep in mind that only about 2% of people are making money online and in some instances much less. I almost joined one of the biggest names on the Internet, Empower Network, until I read their compensation plan's disclaimer which states that only about 1% of people in the program are making real money. That is sad, especially when you think back to the original story. The two guys who founded Empower Network were homeless, destitute, one living in his automobile and a former drug addict. Purportedly both were broke and they made millions of dollars off the cuff. However, if you want to make that kind of money you must invest thousands to get there. Ridiculous!
I am not just picking on Empower Network. That is just one example of the many hyped up programs that are being peddled to poor unsuspecting people like you and me on the Internet. There are many crazy ads and videos that are professionally created to make it look like, "This is the one that will take me where I want to go." The reason we are so taken in by these schemes is because we are all living in an economy that is going downhill fast. We are looking for the goose that lays the golden eggs. Pay is low and Prices are high! Face it, we are desperate.
We must realize that we are being gullible. Listening to these offers of home based businesses and pie in the sky pay is robbing us of our hard made money. It is true that if you were to buy a brick and mortar business you would have to pay a lot of money up front to get it up and running. But an online business. First of all, are these really "businesses?" Well maybe and maybe not. It is in my opinion that you can start a home based business with little or no money to start.
